Every year, Rakona donates more than CZK 3,000,000 to organizations and associations in Rakovnik, thus supporting their sporting, social and cultural activities.

We regularly help at the Children's Home in Nové Strašecí with small maintenance activities, and at Christmas our employees buy clients from Domov Ráček Christmas gifts according to their wishes.

The Prague office takes part in the so-called Give & Gain Day every year where our team helps various organizations for the elderly and children's homes with tasks such as spring cleaning or gardening. We also hold a Christmas collection of gifts for the children's home of Chovánek in Brno.

Less than 40 years later, in 1875, František Otta opens his first soap factory in Rakovník - the predecessor of today's Rakona. Sales department is the most represented here - it works directly with retailers, but we have also logistics, that includes among other things transport, warehousing and customer logistics. In addition to Sales and Logistics, support departments such as Finance and HR work closely with the Sales team.

MYTHS AND FACTS ABOUT P&G

Rakona is a chemical factory
No
All products are manufactured by simply put mixing the feedstocks and then packing them into boxes, bottles or sacks on the packing lines. Packaging lines are modern, automated and we need people who know automation, engineering or electrical engineering to service them.
Is work in Rakona only for guys?
No
Both in technical positions and in managerial postions there is a significant percentage of women.
Is work in Rakona suitable for electrician and engineer?
Yes
We have many production lines that need electrical and machine maintenance, modifications and enhancements.
Working in P&G Sales is primarily about acquiring new customers.
No
This is not true in P&G. Our Key Account Managers have assigned responsibilities for specific product categories within our existing customers (retailers) and they deal with relationships with them and set business strategies. In addition to Key Account Management, Sales also includes a part of Trade Marketing, Shopper Based Design, and Market Strategy and Planning department.
In logistics, they only deal with the transport of goods.

Although transport is an important part of logistics, in our company it is perceived in much broader concept and includes customer logistics (cooperation with retailers), warehousing and customization (adjusting products for the local specifics).

Definitely not! Internships and Traineeships are the shortest way to permanent managerial positions (typically after 6-9 months you will get to Jr. Manager). We trust our selected Interns and Trainees so much that they are responsible for their own projects from the very first day and have an impact on the company's real financial results right away - all of course with the support of experienced managers.
